What to do with Wine Jelly?

Our wine jellies are great on your favorite breakfast bread, but be daring, make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich like Mom NEVER made! Also, heat the jelly in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute to "soften" it and use as syrup for pancakes, waffles, French toast or as a glaze for your grilled meats. Go "Fancy" on your next bowl of ice cream. For a delightfully decadent dessert: make a pound cake. While cake is still hot, punch holes in the cake with the handle of a wooden spoon, pour heated jelly over holes in cake. Chill cake about 1 hour (if you can wait that long), top with whipped cream and ENJOY!

The wine jelly recipes are my legacy from my dear friend Ann Cates. In 2005 she was diagnosed with cancer and we lost her in early 2006. Ann had planned on adding wine jellies to her already popular CHILE JAMMIN' company, which features Jams with Attitude. In late 2005 Ann created the wine jelly recipes and gave them to me. Ann and I both liked the idea of the name WINE KNOT. Since a knot is a cluster of people, it stands to reason the WINE KNOT is a wine loving cluster of people. The jellies were introduced in the Christmas season of 2005. They were well received and we are looking forward to having them as part of Mangum Enterprises. Now, you too have the opportunity to taste the Gold Standard of Wine Jelly. We have four delicious flavors made from New Mexico wines produced by Wines of the San Juan at Turley, NM.
